We're glad you're here and have made it really easy and fast for you to renew your IBN membership. (If you are a new member, or a prior member and would like to join IBN again, please click here.)

Please make sure it is accurate and up to date as it is used to produce our printed directory. Choose A Membership Category. Our membership category options have changed due to the addition of our Products Liability Insurance Program! Please read carefully and choose one of the memberships below. More details and examples of members in each category are provided here. If you are already a member of the Handcraftes Soap Makers Guild and you already have this insurance through that organization, please email IBN so we can make sure you can join IBN without having to purchase another insurance policy. If you do not believe you fall into any of the categories below, please email IBN with your questions, and put "MEMBER CATEGORY QUESTION" as your subject. You'll get a response quickly!   Full Indie with $1M insurance ($545 per year) Full Member With Insurance: This category of member manufactures and sells products. If this describes you, choose the "Full Member With Insurance" option if you wish to join IBN. The annual member dues is $150. The price for the insurance coverage is $395.00. The total for both is $545.00. No additional fees are added. Insurance coverage is now a required benefit for new members and renewing members. Your insurance coverage will become effective the moment your application is processed and you complete and return a short Insurance Questionnaire which will be emailed to you when your application is processed. If you wish to become a full member, but you already have insurance through the Handcrafted Soap Maker's Guild, or you have insurance through another carrier, but wish to switch to IBN's program, we can help you! Just email IBN with your questions, and put "MEMBER CATEGORY QUESTION" as your subject. You'll get a response quickly!   Full Indie with $2M insurance ($600 per year) Full Member With Insurance: Same as above, except you get $2M in coverage instead of $1M.   Full Indie without insurance ($150 per year) (you already have insurance of your own or your business is located outside the United States) Full Member Without Insurance: This category of member already has insurance through another company (please fax your insurance certificate to us at (801) 763-1374) or is located outside the United States. Please fax your insurance certificate to us at (801) 763-1374. If this describes you, choose the "Full Member Without Insurance." Don't forget to fax your insurance certificate because we cannot process your application in this category of membership until we have the certificate. The annual member dues for this category is $150. If you choose this option but you do not verify that you have insurance elsewhere, your application will not be processed. (To find out why insurance is required, click here.)   Supplier Indie with $1M insurance ($570 per year) Supplier Member With Insurance: This category of member manufactures and sells products, AND/OR ALSO SELLS AS 20% OR LESS OF THEIR ANNUAL REVENUE non-consumer products used as a part of the operation of their business. Non consumer products include things such as bottles, jars, packaging supplies, base oils, fragrances, herbs and other ingredients used in the manufacture of handmade beauty products. If this describes you, choose the "Supplier Member With Insurance." The annual member dues is $175. The price for the insurance coverage is $395. The total for both is $570. No additional fees are added. Insurance coverage is now a required benefit for new members and renewing members. Your insurance coverage will become effective the moment your application is processed and you complete and return a short Insurance Questionnaire. Supplier Indie with $2M insurance ($625 per year) Supplier Member With Insurance: Same as above, except you get $2M in coverage instead of $1M.   Supplier Indie without insurance ($175 per year) (more than 20% of sales from non-consumer products) Supplier Member Without Insurance: This category of member has non-consumer products as more than 20% of their annual revenue. So no matter what you sell (products and/or services), more than 20% of your annual revenue is from the sale of these non-consumable products. If this describes you, choose the "Supplier Member Without Insurance" option. The annual member dues is $175.00.
All IBN Renewing IBN Members Agree To Continue To Abide By IBN's Core Principles and Insurance Acknowledgement To abide by the highest standards of cleanliness and quality in the manufacture of my products, in order to promote superior quality products and the safety of the consuming public. To provide the public with useful, reliable and truthful information about the benefits of the products and services I offer. To compete within the bounds of the law, respecting others' ownership rights in their intellectual property and the expression of their ideas. To abide by all federal and state laws concerning the manufacture and sale of the products and services I offer. I understand that if I have the products liability insurance member benefit, the policy will expire a year from today. I further acknowledge that the insurance broker will not send me a renewal notice and that it is my responsibility to renew my membership with insurance before it expires 12 months from today, or the policy and IBN membership will lapse. This does not apply to me if I am renewing without IBN's insurance program. This section applies only to cosmetics companies: I understand that compliance with the Fair Labeling & Packaging Act and the US Food, Drug & Cosmetics Act is my responsibility, and that I can find information about both at the FDA's website at this link. I understand and agree that failure to comply with these laws may result in termination of my IBN membership and/or insurance without any refund. Yes!
