Make It Yourself: Sweet Eye Make-Up Remover

1. "How To" Monday: How to Make Yourself Useful On Twitter

One of the complaints I hear about Twitter is that people Tweet and no one replies. It's an awful feeling indeed to think that you've taken your precious time to say something and it just goes into a black hole. But did you ever stop to think that there might be a reason people aren't listening? Check back through your Twitter stream and you may find a simple explanation.

It just might be that there are no links in your Tweets. Yes, it's nice to just say something, but what's even better, and infinitely more interesting to your followers on Twitter, is when you say something and give them something to do at the same time.

That's right! Give them something to click on! Make it interesting for them. Engage them by giving them something to do. Here are some examples:

Eating a delicious piece of cake? Share a video via Twitvid, or just share a still photo of the goodness!

Looking at old wedding photos? Don't just tell us about it; post a photo so we can see too!

Is it a beautiful day where you are? Show us with a picture of the blue sky on the lake!

There's no end to the way you can engage people by sharing a simple photo or video. And also, share things that other people share! It's great when you pay it forward by telling your followers all about something posted by someone else. I created a short video to show you how important and easy it is to do this. It's quick and informative, and just for you!
